With over a decade of experience in marketing communications and a distinguished background as a U.S. Air Force veteran, Patti brings both precision and purpose to every role she steps into. At her core, she’s a strategist—someone who thrives on solving complex challenges and crafting solutions that drive impact for customers and companies alike.
Her career has spanned product development, brand management, and channel marketing. But for Patti, it all comes down to one thing: strategy. “I look at everyone as my customer, regardless of the scenario,” she explains. “Marketing is about identifying a challenge and building a strategy that benefits both the individual and the organization.”
That mindset was shaped early on by her military experience. As a squadron commander and executive officer in the Air Force, Patti developed a foundation in leadership, discipline, and communication—skills that seamlessly translated into the world of marketing. “I knew this was the field I wanted to pursue,” she says. “It allowed me to keep solving real-world problems, just in a new context.”
Patti’s consulting journey began during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. After her previous role was impacted, a LinkedIn connection led her to an opportunity with Blend and Citi. “They were looking for someone to develop digital marketing campaigns from the ground up, including email journeys—and I knew I could do that,” she recalls.
Since joining in 2020, she has led large-scale campaign development, navigated complex compliance needs, and brought clarity and creativity to every challenge. “Every day is different, and I love that,” she says. “There’s always something new to learn or solve.”
A key part of Patti’s success has been her relationship with Catherine, her consultant manager at Blend. “Catherine is more than a manager—she’s a coach, an advocate, and a sounding board. She checks in regularly, offers strategic insight, and genuinely cares about my success,” Patti shares.
For Patti, the motivation comes from making progress. “I wake up ready to tackle the list of priorities—even though it always grows throughout the day,” she laughs. “There’s always something that needs a fresh perspective.”
One of her proudest achievements was launching a retail card campaign for a major consumer brand. The project required end-to-end execution—from scripting video content and navigating approvals to fine-tuning messaging across multiple platforms. “It was incredibly rewarding to take an idea from concept to completion and see the results firsthand,” she reflects.
Service has always been central to Patti’s identity—whether through her military service, her work in marketing, or her dedication to lifting others up.
She serves on the selection committee for the Army Scholarship Foundation, helping to award scholarships to high-achieving students from military families. “Education changes lives,” she says. “Being able to support that journey, even in a small way, is deeply meaningful to me.”
Her passion for giving back also shows up through mentorship. Patti actively mentors early-career professionals, veterans, women, and individuals pivoting into marketing from other fields. Sometimes it’s formal, other times it’s a casual coffee chat—but she’s always ready to offer insight, encouragement, or simply listen.
“I’ve been lucky to have mentors who saw something in me before I saw it in myself,” Patti says. “They challenged me, believed in me, and helped me grow. That’s something I try to pay forward.”
She draws inspiration from many sources—former military leaders who led with integrity, marketing executives who shaped impactful brands, and colleagues who lead with empathy and clarity. “I admire leaders who listen first, who remain grounded, and who create space for others to shine,” she adds. “That’s the kind of leader I strive to be.”
Patti acknowledges that consulting can feel daunting at first, but believes it’s one of the most empowering career paths out there. “It gives you the opportunity to focus on impact,” she says. “You jump in, solve problems, and collaborate with talented people—all without the red tape.”
For those considering consulting, she advises staying curious, adaptable, and focused on the value you bring to the table. “It’s a fast-moving environment, but if you stay grounded and open, it can be incredibly fulfilling.”
In a landscape where change is constant, Patti stays sharp by reading daily marketing newsletters, exploring new tools and platforms, and attending webinars and industry events. “You have to stay curious,” she says. “It’s not just about keeping up with trends—it’s about staying connected to what resonates with people.”
She sees her consulting role as a key part of that growth. At Blend360, she’s exposed to new clients, challenges, and ways of thinking that push her to adapt and evolve. “It’s the best kind of challenge,” she adds. “You’re always learning.”
Looking to the future, Patti is eager to expand her impact beyond the corporate space. “I’ve been thinking about writing a book—or maybe a few,” she says. “Some might be about marketing, others could be novels. I’ve had that feeling in the back of my mind that there are things I need to write down and share.”
She also envisions stepping into a teaching role someday—helping the next generation of marketers navigate the ever-evolving industry. “Teaching, mentoring, writing—those are all ways I hope to keep giving back while continuing to grow myself,” she says.
“I want to keep building—building brands, building people, and building meaningful work,” Patti says. “That’s where I find purpose and momentum.”
